Fashion’s most progressive shoe designer, Pierre Hardy, is a name synonymous to the fashion cogsnecenti. Besides his eponymous label that was conceived in 1999, Hardy is also the Creative Director for Hermès, helming the men’s and women’s shoes and jewellery universe for the past 28 years.
The designer’s forward-thinking designs made up of bold and graphic styles often draws on art and architecture inspired by varied genres from modern conceptual artists to Renaissance masters. This December, Hardy will be inducted in the industry insider Footwear News’ FN Hall of Fame in New York in recognition for his valuable contributions and achievements through the years.
His stunning Autumn Winter 2018 collection draws inspiration from the cinematic heroines of America’s wild west. Boots and pointed slingbacks take the centre stage, so channel your inner femme fatale in a pair of scarlet slingback pumps or pointed toe boots, reminiscent of the forever sexy Marilyn Monroe in “Bus Stop”. There are also plenty of androgynous options from loafers, two-toned Oxfords and a pair of swag block-heeled boots – a look that defined Uma Thurman in “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues”.
Those familiar with Hardy’s work – a collection of artistically inventive shoes that are elegant yet eye-catching – would be thrilled to learn that you can pre-order his Spring Summer 2019 collection at the event. Some highlights include his signature colour-blocking designs by way of strappy heels and sneakers in eye-popping colourways.
Guests can purchase an exclusive version of the Cube Perspective pouch available only at the event.
